Veggie Burger

Have you tried making your own veggie burgers? It is sooo easy!

There are so many ingredient options you can use to keep your menu changed up.

You can use any type of beans; Use one type or mix together different types. Mix in some legumes too.

With the veggies, any of them! Mushrooms and olives are good too. I suppose you could also incorporate certain fruits as well.

I don’t measure any of the ingredients therefore I’m not going to break it down. This recipe is so versatile, just experiment. Have some fun with it.

1 can of no salt added beans,
gluten free bread crumbs, could also use a gluten free flour.

your veggies
tomato
onion
ketchup
mustard
garlic powder
salt
pepper
olive oil
burger buns - gluten free

Strain your beans; set aside. Add the veggies, tomato, onion, ketchup and mustard to a blender, mix until smooth. If it’s too thick you can add more tomato to thin it down.

Add desired amount of beans to a medium sized bowl, smash with a fork or potato smasher. Add veggie mix; I usually add the same amount of mix as there is bean mixture.

Add your spices and mix until well combined. Next, mix in enough bread crumbs so you can form a firm ball with the mixture. Shape into a patty; place in the refrigerator.

Add olive oil to a pan over medium heat. When oil is hot add your burger. Be sure to keep an eye on your burger as it doesn’t take long to heat through.

I flip mine when it’s crispy on one side. Then allow the other side to cook until crispy. Fix your bun as desired, top with burger and enjoy!
