Soy Free Soy Sauce

 


Ingredients:

1/4 cup of vegetable broth 

1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar

1 1/2 cups of water

1 tablespoon molasses

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

dash of sea salt - optional 


Add above ingredients in a small sauce pan; Bring to a boil. Allow to simmer on a low boil for 20 to 30 minutes or until liquid reduces to one cup. Store in refrigerator. 

* I make my own vegetable broth which allows me to control the sodium amount even more. Plus, I’m always left with extra and it makes really good vegetable soup for the next couple of days. Score!
