Soy Free Soy Sauce

 


Ingredients:

1/4 cup of vegetable broth 

1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar

1 1/2 cups of water

1 tablespoon molasses

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

dash of sea salt - optional 


Add above ingredients in a small sauce pan; Bring to a boil. Allow to simmer on a low boil for 20 to 30 minutes or until liquid reduces to one cup. Store in refrigerator. 

* I make my own vegetable broth which allows me to control the sodium amount even more. Plus, Iā€™m always left with extra and it makes really good vegetable soup for the next couple of days. Score!
